Lands End Brides (and others opinions welcome as well)
Okay so we were finalizing our menu the other day and all went great, and then the issue about a vallet came up. FH is from Queens and has Vallet everwhere he and his family go (since there is NO WHERE to park in Queens) anyway, Jenn highly advised against using a vallet simply because the parking lot is right there. She stated that in the past, weddings that did have a vallet, the following Monday L.E. would get phone calls about how they had to wait for their cars when it was 10 feet infront of them.
Just not sure what to do. FH is coming around on this issue, but we really dont know what to do since his family really would like it. Just curious what any other L.E. brides chose to do! And what was your experience with or without the Vallet?
TIA

My brother got married there. I showed up early for pics, so there was no valet, but we didnt even notice simply because the parking lot is right there. And we went there for NYE... once again - no valet. did not miss it. I would suggest --> don't bother!

Thats the way I feel, I think it will create more of an issue by people having to stand around and wait! Im not pushing it with FH, just letting it sink in with him...hopefully he will come around on this one!

I wouldn't - the guests wouldn't feel pressured to tip either.

I wouldn't bother, I've been to weddings there and even looked there for my own wedding and I didn't think the valet was an issue b/c the parking lot is so close.

I wouldn't bother...we didn't even consider it, because the lot's right there and I have been to affairs where you have to wait in a long line to get your car when it's right in front of you...it's very annoying lol. I could see the use for it if the lot is far away, but everything will be fine.

Was at a wedding there last summer, no valet. Once we got there, saw the water, cocktail hour started, started dancing...by the end of the night, didn't even miss it. :)

im with the rest of the posters. i was at awedding there in september and the parking lot was right near the entrance. it wouldve been rediculous to have to wait for a valet!
