lands end brides or people that live near sayville

we are going to start looking at hotels to block the rooms for our wedding. when we looked at the suggested list from lands end the hotels seemed far away like ronkonkoma, islandia, and haupauge. are their any nice hotels closer to lands end(sayville). or are these places close to sayville- i really dont know much about suffolk county. thanks

we put our guests in the Wyndham WindWatch on Motor Parkway and I live in Oakdale...it wasn't too far from our hall, there is also the new Hilton Garden Inn on Vets Highway, but they were rude to me. They Wyndham gave me the same price as the Holiday Inn Express and they were much nicer in appearance

There are bunch of hotels near the Islip airport. A Holiday Inn, the Hilton Garden that was already mentioned, a Hampton Inn... None of them are terribly far from Sayville. Maybe 20 to 30 minutes to get there? It's only because you can only take a few major roads and then you have to take local roads to get to Lands End.

I don't know how many out of town guests that you have, but if it helps, I know that the Hampton Inn will provide free shuttle service to and from the reception, from the hotel for all of you guests staying there. We have A LOT of OOT guests and decided to put them all up there. The hotel is actually pretty new I think, like a year or so.

I just booked the hotel, and I looked at all 3 that I mentioned if you need more info.

I'm a mail carrier in Sayville and the only hotel that's close by is the Sayville Motor Lodge on Sunrise Hwy...cheesy! I would suggest the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma or the Garden Hilton in Bohemia...both on Vets Hwy.

I live in Sayville right around the corner from there... make sure you get either shuttles or limos. 4th July weekend is a big beach weekend and Lands End is in the middle of the ferry terminals. I also work over by Vets Highway in Bohemia where the hotels are.. normally it's only a 15 minute ride but it will probably be more like 25-30 on a holiday weekend.
Just FYI- I've parked the Lands End parking lot to avoid the ferry parking lot fees before. I'm sure alot of other people do that to. I would call Lands End and make sure that you will have sufficient parking for your guests.
Enjoy the fireworks!

Windwatch is a pain for blocking rooms for a wedding. you have to pay up front to block instead of the usual procedure where the guests pay as they book them
It is a nice hotel though so if you can get them to change their minds it is worth it. if not - i wouldn't do it. Too much risk for you (and too much stress)
