Land's End $$ concerns

My FH and I both really like Land's End and totally want to get married there. But my mom is concerned about the price... We're already in the Sunday-afternoon, off-season time slot, so we can't really lower the price any more that way.

Has anybody gotten Land's End to lower their price? Throw in any extras for free? I'd love any advice or thoughts.

Please help us have our wedding at this beautiful place!

We had the same problem with Lands End. My FH and I LOVED it there. We were guaranteeing them 275 people on a Friday night in May and they would not budge with anything. They wouldn't even 'throw in' a $25 sugar bow cake topper. The only thing they did was lower the seafood boat or whatever from $16/head to $12/head. Whooopdidoo! My dad tried to speak with a manager there and they wouldn't come out. My parents felt that if they weren't willing to negotiate now, they never would so we decided to look elsewhere b/c every other hall offered to work with us. Now where I'm having my wedding threw in so many extras it's awesome.

Also, Flowerfield did the same thing so I think they are very corporate and don't have room to negotiate. Good luck! I hope it works out for you!

We got it! They came down a teeny bit more, but it was enough to make my mom happy! We put down a deposit today!!!! Wa-hoo!!!

I had no problems with Land's End negociating. We ended up paying $115 per person on a friday night in August. Who did you speak with at Land's End? My wedding was amazing......you should keep trying if you really love it. My review is up if you want to read it :) Good Luck!
