Large Venue...Help!!

Re: Large Venue...Help!!

ok first i'll say NEVER go by the maximum an RH gives you bc the max for their room is based on the fact if they squeeze everyone in tightly.

I got married at JT, in the largest room which is the skylight terrace room and i personally can't picture 550 in there. I had 275 and to have double seems like a whole lot. Would've been way too tight of a squeeze so keep that in mind. HOwever, out of the 600 youre inviting remember not everyone comes

Maybe try terrace on the park. I would look for a place that says a bit over 600 as the max, you never want to come close to the max.

Im getting married at VIP. The room is huge and will fit 600. The only question would be for cocktail hour. My wedding is over the summer and theres enough seating inside for all the guests to eat inside in case of the rain or people dont want to sit outside but I dont know about 600 people in there. You should def call and ask to find out. I love VIP. They have great packages and the room is beautiful and theres so many places inside and out for pics.

Also look at Surf Club in New Rochelle, I know the downstairs room is really big, but I agree with the above post, the CH room is much smaller.

Russo on The Bay I think they fit 600, the food and service is Great!

Thanks for the input everyone! Surf club is nice but doesnt have capacity. I will check out some of the hotels in LI tomorrow.

By the way, I went to Marina del Rey today, and although it was very beautiful, the banquet rooms that they would combine for a 600 person wedding is super long (rectangular). That was my only issue. Other than that it is a very classy place.

we are getting married in 15 (ahhhh) days at the VIP. They're been sooooo great about everything I've been very very happy working with them so far. I can let you know in a few weeks how everything went. Good Luck in your search.

I'm partial but I LOVE Crest Hollow!!!

And the ballroom is huge and I don't think 600+ would be cramped in there at all

It's absolutley gorgeous & the food is amazing! you can't go wrong! I'm not sure the exact amout of people that it holds but I want to say like 700-900 with the one big room?? something like that...good luck!!
