Larkfield

So I just went to a wedding at the new Larkfield Saturday night. I must say it is beautiful. I looked at it as one of our possible venues but decided to go with ad I did since this was a family wedding and most of the people will be at my wedding in 5 weeks.
It is huge and very grand. The changes they made were worth it. It still has a Mediterranean feel to it, but it isn't dark at all. The patio is beautiful. Two rooms for the cocktail hour made for lots of seating. There was sweet 16 going on in the other room, but the only time you saw them was when we walked in o used the rest rooms. (though they did make me feel old)
The only issues I had with Larkfield were the wait staff and cocktail hour food.
I don't know if they had a new staff on, but our waiter was way off his game. He forgot to get us champagne for the toast, he was behind on every course, and we thought someone was going to wear their meal. But he was the best napkin folder ever, we had a lovely folded napkin every time we went back to the table.
The cocktail hour had soooooo much food, it was amazing. Everything you can possibly think of. The problem is most of it was cold :(
