Larkfield brides..past present future!

Where did everyone block hotel rooms?
I am ideally looking for a nice place that INCLUDE breakfast and a shuttle! A bar or restaurant on or close to the premises would be WONDERFUL!

I am waiting to hear back about shuttle service from the 'Wingate by Wyndam' in commack/Brentwood area. Will let you know what I here...

I booked with them. Jessica is the coordinator there and she's been so helpful with all of my questions. They include round trip shuttle service for all guests who book, but they do not have a bar or restaurant on premises. They do offer a continental breakfast which is plentiful, and they have a mini store located inside which is open 24/7... Another reason I booked with them is they are the only hotel that offers a microwave and mini fridge in all rooms which is something I wanted my guests to have bc I plan on making OOT baskets for everyone.

i'm actually putting in a call to the hotel tomorrow to see how many rooms have been blocked so far. I sent out the information with my invitations last month, and a bunch of people have verbally expressed interest, so I'm double checking to make sure we haven't run out of rooms yet (I only blocked 10)

At TWOTY i won a free night, we never thought we would use it, but since we have to use it this year maybe we will use it to see what the rooms are like before we block it!

Your shuttle is good anytime or is there a cut off time?

Also as far as larkfield, are you getting married at the hall
if so what type of decorations are you doing for the ceremony?

Im super excited I found another larkfield manor bride!

LOL yeah there aren't too many of us LM brides on the 2011 boards, so it's nice to have a hall twin to talk to

My FH and I stayed one night there to check it out, and everything was great! Loved the fact they had the mini fridge and microwave, we had fun that night lol!!

The shuttle accommodates 12 guests at a time and does 2 trips each way. Depending on how many guests book rooms, we may need to add an additional round trip onto our package, but I'll find that out tomorrow when I call (she said it's really not that much to add on more trips)

And as far as larkfield, we're getting married outside in the gazebo (fingers crossed the weather is nice), so we're just doing rose petals along the aisle, and may add some decor along the sides of the aisle. Our ceremony is only going to be about 15-20 minutes long, so we didn't want to spend alot for decorations since we'll only be out there for a short amount of time. Besides, the courtyard is gorgeous already so I knew I could put that extra money to other areas of the wedding!

wow so those 2 trips are free?
This may be the best deal yet, (i say this without even knowing the price lol) but when i called the other hotels only holiday in had the shuttle and you had to have 10 room blocks to do so..and no breakfast
and then one hotel had a breakfast with no shuttle
and another had neither
and i really wanted both!

OMG I didn't see the other posts LOL about the holiday inn express. I'm not a natural blonde :/ Anyway, the deal was just to good to be true..they sent me a contract, I just have to sign and fax.

The Holiday Inn Express is off the LIE at Wheeler Rd & RT 111 Meet.. Its Considered Hauppauge!

The Hampton Inn in Commack right in front of the commack movie theater is a straight run to Larkfield.. It was just recently renovated and has continental breakfast included in hotel price!!
