Re: larkfield manor
We actually checked it out when we were rh hunting. Really liked it the rooms are beautiful but their outside was not as big as we wanted. The guy we met with was really nice as well. It was a while back so I don't remember his name but I do remember their prices were very reasonable avg 80-100 a plate.

Re: larkfield manor
when I went to check it out fridays for november of 09 were somewhere around 65 and fridays in october were around 75... Very reasonable and their menu looked amazing!!! And the rooms were very pretty! I just didn't like how there can be more then one wedding at a time and was worried about the noise from each room. Like if I were doing my first dance with the hubby, the way they stagger it there is a possibility you could hear the other room doing say the macarena! ... Not sure how the noise level is so it may have not been a problem but I was just paranoid ! lol

Re: larkfield manor
wow I was told somewhere around 250-300 (its been a while since I have been there dont remember the exact but i know it was over 200) to be guaranteed the only bride of the day. It really is a beautiful place though, its a shame the guarantee is so high... I dont think I could come up with a guest list of 200 people even if I paid people to come lol

Re: larkfield manor
I am a larkfield bride! They try to schedule it so there is an overlap in the events... You would not see anyone from the other party and the rooms are far enough away from each other that you would NOT hear another party.... One thing I will say about Larkfield... Aside from their reasonable halls, their food is AMAZING!!!! I went to my food tasting alreayd and everything was SPECTACULAR!!!! FM me if you need to know any other information!

Re: larkfield manor
I forgot to mention.....
When I went to the food tasting, we were in the big room.. We were the only people in the whole room so it was super quiet!!!! There was a wedding going on in the other room and we did not hear a peep! I would not have known there was another event if I didn't purposely walk past their room to see the bride! I agree with wanting to be the only bridei n the place... but for me the reasonable price and great food outweighed that one aspect! It is obviously up to you how you feel about that but I just wanted to make sure you knew that you would not have to worry about hearing other people! Good luck picking a place either way!!!!!

Re: larkfield manor
I happened to see this thread about Larkfield Manor. Hope you don't mind the intrusion, but we had our reception there in Sept last year. Wanted to let you know it was marvelous.
I did a vendor review on them and bride's review with pics too and more pics in my album if you want to see the place decorated and cocktail hour food.
It's true about the noise. we were in the small room for tasting with wedding in large room and didn't hear anything. We had small room for reception but the large room cancelled so we had the place to ourselves. remember too the small room is for up to 120 people so it will not necessarily be used - - it doesn't seem like there are so many smallish weddings these days. and it is on the opposite side of the building.
but the people are wonderful and they do add xtras so do check it out and those already booked you will have a ball!

Re: larkfield manor
hey im a larkfield bride. Even though there are 2 rooms, i really dont think the small one is used for weddings that much, more like sweet sixteens, or communions and stuff. That room is very small nmot a lot of people have that little people at there wedding. I work right near there at a bank and every customer has told me how great that place is and that the food is amazing. I havent heard one bad thing about them. Let me know if you have any more questions

Re: larkfield manor
I'm a Larkfield bride too! When we booked we were told the smaller room most likely woundlt be booked since most ppl perfer the big room for the weddings and larger functions. Also they assured us we would be the only wedding there that day. We booked with them for many reasons. FBIL had his wedding there 4 yrs ago before all the changes and even then we fell in love with it. The food is amazing!!! George and Harry whom I dealt with so far are awesome. They also really made the outside much nicer than it used to be. We also were offered an amazing price for July so we took it! I dont regret booking at all and I hope this helps you come to like them more.
