I just decided I do want to have a bachelorette party, but onyl if I can have it in Vegas.
I would love feedback for anyone who has done this. How did it work? Any regrets or suggestions?
I would also like to know what time of year you went and where you stayed at. Thanks a bunch ladies.
EDIT: I should note that the party will also be in celebration of my birthday.

Vegas is so much for for a bachelorette party! I went there March of 2003 for a friend's bachelorette party and had a blast. We stayed at the Mirage and got a pretty nice rate on a suite (I don't remember what it was, I just know it was better than the other hotels in Vegas). I am planning on going back for my bachelorette party, probably in January. My advise to you is to make sure the weekend you want to go does not coincide with a huge convention or holiday that would bring a lot of people to Vegas for it. We went during March Madness and everyone thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't. I did hear that the week before there was a huge convention and it was insane, but I'm thinking that it is always pretty crazy there. Anyway, hope that helped. Have a great time!

See I wish I could do that. Well not in vegas, but in st maarten. I offered to pay for the hotel (timeshare) but I got shot down without a second thought. Thats when my MOH brought me back down to earth and told me to keep my BM's budgets in mind. Oh well, ya cant win them all!! Good luck, though.

That's funny! Have you told anyone? I think my BM would call me selfish if I gave them an ultimatum like that! They would probably laugh at me and be like 'This girl must be out of her damn mind!' And, if my friend who is getting married and I am one of her BM told me something like this...I would be pretty PO-ed BUT hey! if you can get away with it...that is wonderful. I would love a Vegas weekend with the gals!!!

Actually, it wasn't my idea. It was my MOH who suggested it. I didn't even pant a party in the beginning but she said she could call the girls and we can go to Vegas. I only have 2 BM and neither of them are going to think poorly of me.

Yeah, I told FH that I didn't want a bridal shower and almost exploded, so I gave in and said ok. I was going to have a jack and jill party at Strikes, but he so no to that too. So I gave in and said ok, we can have a regular shower.
I would realy like to still have a jack and jill party and the bowling alley.

Im all for showers, I dont care who thinks what of me. I want my damn presents and my cheesey shower games!!!! But I did want to have a bachelor/bachelorette party together. My sis and I had all ready made plans to rent the top floor of the library cafe and when I mentioned it to FH, he completely shot me down!!! I understand he wants to be with his boys, so nothing gained, nothing lost.

I so know what you mean. That is why I wanted a party at Strike. The everyone can bowl or get on the go carts after we open presents and do the cheesy stuff.
