laser therapy v. make-up coverage for scars/hyperpigmentation

Hi Brides! Does anyone have any experience with laser therapy to treat old acne scars or hyperpigmentation that just won't fade away? I received a referral from my dermatologist for a place that does it but the consultation fee alone is $300 and then who knows how much more expensive the laser therapy will be!!! I don't really feel like spending $300 to find out I can't afford the recommended treatment, so wondering if anyone has any experience with this, where you went, how much it typically costs, and whether it's worth it?

On a related note... how much will makeup cover these imperfections on the wedding day? My skin isn't THAT bad but I definitely have marks that show through my regular daily makeup that I don't want showing on my wedding day. Will airbrush or professional makeup cover these imperfections adequately? (I haven't had any makeup trials yet if you haven't guessed already which is probably part of the problem!)

Thanks so much for the help, ladies!

i personally havent tried it, but i heard the airbrushing makeup does a good job of covering up.

In the part of florida where I am from (where everything is cheaper) laser therapy was $100 per area per time and I got a free consultation. Overall I paid $500 for an area on my chin where I had a bad acne scar. It would probably have been a lot more to do my entire face!!

Oh your wedding isn't until May, you still have time to use hydroquinone, azeleic acid, or tretinoin! Tretinin is generic now so it is $10 a tube
