So as you know, FH had the Lasik eye surgery on Monday. I was scared to death and am so happy that it went well and it is over with!
He had a new bladeless procedure that changed his life forever! He walked in needing glasses for 20/400 vision! He couldn't see anything under the big E on the reading chart. He walked out and was a little cloudy, but later that night was able to read the time stamp and temperature at the bottom of channel 5's screen!
He went back the next day for his post-op and had an eye exam...................guess what? He has BETTER than 20/20.....he has 20/15!!!!!!!!
He has some red spots on his eyeball from the suction, but that goes away. Other than that, sunglasses during the day and NO glasses for anything else! If anyone is looking into this, go for it! He is happier than ever and the place in Garden City has a doctor there that has all positive reviews (he went to this doctor because it's the same doc that did his mother's eyes 7 years ago!).
I am actually having the blade less lasik surgery TOMORROW after work...... I am so FREAKED out about it!!!... I want to do it so bad but I keep hearing horror stories! There was even an article in the NY Times today! I am REALLY hoping everything will go smoothly.... My stomach is (and will continue to be) in knots until it is all over with!

i went thru this last year.. the suction s u c k e d... but im glad i went thru it cos now my vision is perfect

omg let me tell you, i broke the suction the first time cos i squinted my eyes (cos it hurt and they didnt explain anything to me... AND the ativan already wore off by the time i was in for the procedure) . .so they had to redo it.. i couldnt take it so i walked out.. so for the third time on my right eye they did it.. and my eye was bloodshot for about a week.. the left eye was fine.. but the right eye looked horrible.. im glad im over that!
