Lasik eye surgery

FI had it done last year and it was the most miserable 4 days of my life!!!!!!!!!!! he had the surgery done on a thursday and didn't go back to work until the following tuesday.

apparently his eyes are small, so during the surgery, both of his corneas were scratched. this caused his eyes to (pardon the grossiness) ooze puss like there was no tomorrow! for the first two days, if he even closed his eyes for 15 minutes, they would literally glue themselves stuck b/c of the puss. i had to take warm water and a q-tip and wipe the stuff away. that's when i knew it was love!!!

to this day he still complains that his eyes don't 'wake up' when the rest of him does. he is also super-sensitive to salt water.

he went to the Laser Center in Garden City, supposedly one of the best!

sorry to be harsh - but i think you should do a lot of research!

I could never see b/c I couldn't put contacts in my eyes I cna't believe how many things I missed seeing before the surgery!!!!!!

My eyes are pretty dry now and I have a little problem with my left eye (something is now wrong with the tear duct so sometimes I see a little blurry - nothing like what it used to be)

I think it is 100% worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS...and the surgery itself wasn't bad..I am the WORST patient (pass out at blood tests) but it was quick and EASY!!! If you have any questions FM me

Just one comment on the 'small eyes' - I have small pupils (or is it large pupils?) anyways, they adjusted something on the laser for my surgery to compensate for this so I would not have ANY scratching. Not sure if this is what Garden City did for your FH - but it sounds like they should have...

I did it and love it!!!!

I can't liw and say the procedure didn't scare the hell out of me and that right after when I was sitting there witht the plastic things over my eyes that I thought I was going to be blind for the rest of my life. But now I see perfect and it is wonderful!!!
