LASIK questions

I am going for a LASIK consultation tomorrow. If any of you have had lasik, what questions should I ask? What should I look for?

OMG! I'm going Thursday! Where are you going? I already went to TLC. This time, I'm going to Diamond Vision. I want the combination of fair price and GREAT doctors.

I had it done with TLC in 6/03 and was THRILLED with the results! I really liked my doctor, and I even sent my MIL there because I had such a positive experience. I can't think of anything special you should ask, but if you have any questions you want to ask me, feel free to FM me.

I had it 2 years ago, my doctor is in NYC. I have 20/13 vision in both eyes now! I was almost legally blind before the surgery. My doctor had a checklist of questions to ask on his website. Basically, you need to ask what you need to do prior (sometimes you can't wear makeup before and after for a few days), what type of surgery will he/she be doing bladeless (LASEK) or LASIK. I needed bladeless because my corneas are really thin apparently. What is the person's training, who will perform the surgery, will you meet the doctor prior? (some practices that have several doctors won't be able to tell you who will do the surgery till the day of or shortly before), how many surgeries has this doctor performed, how long will it take, when will you be able to go back to work (bladeless takes slightly longer to heal). Stuff like that.
