How many ladies are taking FH last name? Anyone hyphenating or otherwise??

I agree. My FH's last name is British. It will be so nice to have a pronouncable last name, and one that can be spelled easily. I'm sheding my Polish last name like a bad habit.

My FH last name is also Italian - , and I will probably take it, but for work I really think I'll be sticking with my last name b/c people have enough trouble spelling my first name right... that long Italian name will just make things more complicated and I'm on the phone all day and I have people faxing me stuff all day too so you can imagine... plus I just saw a co-worker go through hell b/c she had her ex husband's name, then went back to her maiden name and now that she is remarried she has another new name... it's messing with her emails! I can't imagine the annoyance of changing EVERYTHING, my personal email addresses even have my last name... maybe over the course of years, but I can't imagine doing it all at once...
I am actually thinking about hyphenating for business reasons, but taking FH's name otherwise.
I will be using the hypen.

I am keeping my name and taking his, but not hyphenating...
So I will have two last names...

I'm definitely taking his last name. I really like the idea of having the same name as our children one day.
If I told you what my new name would be you'd all probably have the same reaction. Everyone who I tell gets this weird look on their face. Yes, I will have a stripper/porn star name!!!![]()

yes!
I am changing mine. Although I admit it wasn't my first choice. I happen to love my simple maiden name. His last name is long and polish and there's no way to shorten it. However we had a discussion and we came to an agreement. I take his name and our first child will have my maiden name as their middle name.
