Last night....

my sister and BIL had to take my neice to the hospital. She hasnt been feeling very well these past few days and yesterday she wouldnt eat and had a temp of 103!! The doctor told my sister to take her to the hospital for tests.

When I heard that, I was so scared and upset. I felt for the first time what you moms go through when your children are sick. I was almost ready to cry....and that ws before any doctor had seen her.

It seems that she may have a UTI and that she is VERY uncomfortable. that is the reason for the fever and not eating. The reason the doctor sent them to the hospital for the test was because they could get the results back faster than the office. My mom spoke to my sister agaain at 10pm last night ( they were still waiting in the waiting room!!) and she said the baby ****ed down 3 bottles and her fever had broken.

I hope that our little Isabella will feel better soon!! I said some extra prayers last night!!

I hope that she is feeling better soon. My daughter had a UTI when she was about 7 months old. My pediatrician said it is not uncommon in little girls because of diapers. I am sure she will be just fine.

thank you all!! I feel much better today than I did last night!! I guess I was just scared last night.

Wendy...my sister said there were 2 other woman there that they had been in there 2 times before with their daughters for UTI's!! They said it is very common!!

poor thing! i dont know the severity of pain when a child has a uti - but i know that i have gotten them in the past and they are very very painful! awww - i hope she feels better soon! i will pray for the little one.
