Last night... (mini review of The Inn at New Hyde Park restaurant!)

FH and I went to the Inn at New Hyde Park for our Valentines day dinner!!!! It was AMAZING!! FIL's got us the gift certificate and I am so happy they did that for us so we could try the food

They had a special Valentines day menu which was delicious and great selections! First we ordered potatoe pancakes which were amazing and then calamarie which was the BEST calamarie Ive ever had!!

Then I had the lobster bisque which was lacking lobster and was a little watery ...FH had a salad which he enjoyed...

For our entrees I had the trio of lobster tails and it was AMAZINGGGGG ...I have been on a diet lately and not eating large portions at all but somehow I managed to eat every single thing on my plate!!! amazing, amazing amazing, ..oh and FH had the duck which he really enjoyed (im not a big duck person but I tried it and it was delicious)

The best thing of all was that there was a LIW 2011 bride getting married there while we were there!! I thought that was really cool..

I loved the food when we went a couple of months ago! Some of my family members went a few weeks ago as well and had lunch, they loved it also! Now they cant wait for the wedding!!

So glad to hear you had a great experience. My family had my grandmothers 90th bday in one of the private rooms almost 5 years ago and I wanted to know how the food still was.... Do you think that the INN would be a good place for a shower??? Trying to think of places to tell my mom to pick from, TIA! Also, are there bigger private rooms available there - about 50-60 people?

Hey SeptemberBride2012 !!

I have read multiple reviews on bridal showers there and everyone I have read was fabulous!! They have smaller rooms to hold 50-60 ppl for sure--def tell your mom to check it out !
