Last night we had our food tasting w/The Woodbury Country Club

I have to say that it was great!!! They served us a plate of fruit.. then they served us h'ordeurves. They were a combination of: pigs in a blanket, shrimp wrapped in bacon, stuffed mushroom caps, baby lamb chops, mini potato knish puffs, and spinach puffs.. Then for the dinner they brought out 2 plates - 1 with grilled chicken, 1 with chateau briand. Oh my God... these dinners were both soooo good. They came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes which were very, very yummy. I have to rate the food as an A++++++++++++!!!!
I really liked the way the room was set up downstairs... it was very pretty too. If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask

Yeah, I know.. they told us from the first day we went to see the place that they don't do food tastings though. I understand what you are saying though... they should be more accommodating and have us come in sooner though.. ugh.. decisions, decisions. I think the only reason why I put it in my head that I liked this other place is because they are in SI and it is much closer to home. But you know.. I keep thinking, there have been many, many times where I have had to travel for other people's weddings so now it's my turn to have people travel for me. I love the Woodbury... it is beautiful, the food is great but it's far from where we live. I guess we will have to make that sacrifice.
