are you planning on doing a slow song or something fun and upbeat?
I wanted something fun and danceable at first, but now i am thinking at the end of the night i may just want to have a slow dance with FH to take it all in (maybe to the song 'At Last')
thoughts? suggestions?

Just remember... It's your day! You should do what ever makes you happy...
Just whatever you do - don't play 'last dance' LOL

I always liked the slow song until I was at a wedding last year where Journey's Don't Stop Believing was the last song, and it was the most awesome moment of the wedding!

THIS! The band we hired is amazing at this song and they have a cute little rhyme they put in the middle signaling the end of the night.

We played 'I've Had the Time of My Life'. Thought it was the perfect way to end the night!

The last wedding I went to, they played the Black Eyed Peas version of 'Time of my life' then it changed to the dirty dancing slow version....it was great!!

FH and I are planning to play this immediately after our first dance to get things going. We are planning to perform it ourselves with the band!! (the glee duet version )

our plan is to either have that be our first song (after our dance) or have that song play when the meal is over...we know its a song that will get our friends onto the dance floor!

This is what we did. It's one of our favorite songs (we love 80's rock). So we had the band play Michael Buble's Save the Last Dance for Me and then followed it up with Don't Stop Believing to end the night

That's what our DJ played, too. We didn't pick it, didn't even think of it!

Re: last song at wedding
we did both actually. The 'first' last song was Taylor Swift's 'Today Was a Fairytale' and the 'last' last song was Michael Buble's 'Save the Last Dance For Me'.

All these are good choices! I would want something fast and upbeat to leave on a good note.

Re: last song at wedding
DH and I danced to Aladdins 'A Whole New World' wearing our mickey & minnie ears, and right after that the DJ cut into 'New York, New York' and all of our guests (who were left-not many) gathered around us and danced.
