last song at wedding

Original post by pjc92980

are you planning on doing a slow song or something fun and upbeat?

I wanted something fun and danceable at first, but now i am thinking at the end of the night i may just want to have a slow dance with FH to take it all in (maybe to the song 'At Last')

thoughts?
suggestions?

I like the idea of doing a slow song to share that last moment with your dh but I also like the idea of playing a fast song so that everyone is on the dance floor with us at the end. Maybe I will do both.

We're doing New York, New York because it's what they play after the game at Yankee Stadium when everyone is leaving. A drunken kickline could be a fun way to end the night.

we are doing 'i feel home' by O.A.R.. Its a slow song, but it is my favorite song of all time and it means a lot to my friends and i. It will probably make me cry lol

We're doing 'Shipping Up To Boston' since it's where we live, we thought it's appropriate.

We had Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' as our last song of the night...

The words just embodied a lot of what our relationship was like - meeting as teenagers and that nostagic feeling of being in love. 'Let's run away and don't ever look back' Everyone danced and loved it... people still tell us that song makes them think of our wedding!

DH and I danced to Aladdins 'A Whole New World' wearing our mickey & minnie ears, and right after that the DJ cut into 'New York, New York' and all of our guests (who were left-not many) gathered around us and danced.

That is so cute! I may borrow the 'New York, New York' in October!
