What time are your ceremonies and what time will you be taking pictures?
My ceremony is at 3:30 and will probably end at 4:30 and I'm concerned I wont get any outdoor pictures before the sunsets. (like outside the church after ceremony or the whole rice/petal/bubbles throwing). Is anyone else having this issue?

I have the same concern only my ceremony isn't until 8pm and the reception goes till 1:30am! I want to take some outdoor photos but don't want to be dressed super early before the ceremony!! I am glad I am not the only one stressed about it!! You should be fine by 4:30 the sun has been setting a little after 5ish!

I'm having a daytime wedding because of the sunset. We are doing pictures before the cermony and having an after party in a lounge club. I am getting married at the RH.

Yea, i didn't even think of this until my photographer was like 'ok, so no outdoor pictures'. I was like what! why?!. lol.
So the sun begins to set around 4:25 in November and its completely dark around 5pm. ( I know I've been staring out the window for the past hour). If my ceremony ends at 4:30 then I'm done. I'm thinking of just moving the church earlier to 3pm. That way we have some time to squeeze in some shots.
Another option is to just meet before the church and take pictures. But that throws my mom into a frenzy!

I didn't even realize it until the time changed this year
I'm planning on taking pictures outdoors after the church when it will be dusk. Then, I think I'm going to try the Vanderbilt because I'm afraid of snow anyway!

I asked my photog and they said as long as the bride and groom are willing to go take pics outside in the cold they have the lighting for it. they actually like it. its up to you if you can stand being outside. one girl on here had epics taken when it was dark outside and they looked awesome---soo different.

Re: Late November & December Brides
i am crashing, this was also a concern of mine last yr at our wedding. We had a full mass which started at 3pm. We chose NOT to do a receiving line at the church, as that would have wasted 15 mins or more, so we were out of there and taking pics by 4:30. Check my albums out, we got some awesome pics as the sun set. If you time it right, you will still have daylight left. And we were against seeing each other beforehand and taking pics.

Our ceremony is at 4:30. We are doing pics before the ceremony. If we weren't it'd be way too dark.

Our ceremony starts at 2pm (and cocktail is at 6) and we hope to do outdoor pics a few blocks from the church under the Whitestone bridge. fingers crossed!!
