Late September, October, and November brides...

Late September, October, and November brides...

Where are you going for your honeymoons? It's hurricane season and I'm a bit concerned.

I priced Aruba and it's more than we can afford. I've been to Curacao and while it's beautiful, the all-inclusive place isn't somewhere I'd want to stay for our honeymoon (though it's nice for a regular vacation).

Any other ideas? We're looking for an all-inclusive and need a nightlife.

It's in the hurricane belt :( That's our issue. All of the places we're interested in are in the hurricane belt.

The place we book all of our vacation with offers free hurricane insurance. Guess we should just go with whatever we want and hope for the best.

we're doing Aruba. not every place in the hurricane belt gets hit bad this time of year. out of these 3 months november is probably the best time to go with the lowest risk of hurricanes. the only place i wouldnt recommend is mexico only because we did a cruise in 2010 the same week we'd be on our honeymoon in 2011 and the ports in mexico got cancelled becuase of a hurricane.

what about the florida keys?

Funny you'd say Mexico because we were actually leaning towards Cabo. I've been trying to reasearch Cabo's history of hurricane occurence and I'm hitting a brick wall. I just can't find any information.

We thought about going in late December, but the prices skyrocket. Our wedding is in the middle of October, so we're smack-dab in the middle of hurricane season.

looks like Barbados is another option outside the hurricane belt

Now I have to see if Brbados affer any all-inclusive resorts and, if so, their prices. Thanks for the suggestion!

That was our first choice. Do you know anything about their hurricane history?

We're going to Hawaii and Vegas. I was afraid to go to the carribean on my hm during hurricane season as well

We have too much going on, financially, to consider Hawaii. If not, Hawaii would've been our choice.

Taking a chance with Turks and Caicos

(But we're gonna get travel insurance)

Does travel insurance cover natural disasters too? I thought it only covered medical problems.

I think it depends on the policy. The website we always book our travel through offers amazing insurance and it's super cheap.
