I am getting married Sept 2004 and I have already booked my makeup artist and I know who I want to use for my hair (I am using my mom's friend).

I'm getting married september 12th and already 3 of the top girls listed here are booked...I never thought this would need to be done so far in advance...start looking ASAP!..

Yup I've got mine and when I called one of the top three women on this site she was already booked for my wedding day! And I called in July and I'm getting married next September.

My normal hairstylist is doing both. She hasn't set the date yet for the trial but she knows she's doing it and will book it in Jan or Feb for me. She's also going to come with me to Tri-County flea market or that store in Oceanside to look at veils. She's putting the loops on it so she wants to see what I like and suggest things too. She's sooooooo wonderful I don't know what I'd do without her!!

As for makeup, I have some makeup that I bought from Estee Lauder after a makeup session at the store and I haven't opened it yet. I'm also going to suggest to her that we go to the M*A*C counter in the mall and see what 's there that will look nice on me. I look good in lilacs and purples - makes my eyes shine.

For any girls that would be interested, I saw business cards for a makeup artist at Queens Bridal Center. If you call them maybe they can recommend someone.

The top two people mentioned on this board were unavailable for me. One was booked and the other was on vacation at the same time as my wedding. For the one that was booked already, I called last month, and mine is for next November. I was just calling to schedule a trial like 6 months before the wedding. I could not believe that someone had actually done their trial already and booked her. Crap.

I basically have trials for other people scheduled. With all the people that book so early, now I have to worry about this so early.

L>uckily for me my MOH is my hairdresser so she is soing my hair!! and another BM does makeup professional so she will be doing mine too! So no booking anything for me

I am not 100% decided. I want to use Jennifer from Fairytale, but she is not doing trails yet. I might do a trial with my hair dresser, depending on what she is going to charge me. I think Jennifer might be a better deal. When I go for my hair cut, I am going to ask hair dresser what she'll charge me. Then I'll decide what I will do.

jennifer from fairytale responded to me saying that she will be away the time of my wedding and then I tried JN and denise venti and no luck with any of them..I have one scheduled for monday with Jillian from Gorgeous faces...hair and makeup..I will let everyone know how that goes..

I am getting married 10/3/04 and I have already mentioned to my regular hair dresser to put me in the book (I love her, and wouldnt use anyone else) and she has a makeup artist there who I am going to use.

I'm getting married in August 2004 and I asked my hairdresser to do my hair and we'll do a trial sometime in May or June. She knows my hair--which is super straight, and knows that no matter how much hairspray and curling is applied it just won't curl.

I have no idea about makeup artist. I was thinking of asking my hairdresser if she knew could recommend someone.

Hi all!

I'm hoping to use a makeup artist from the hair salon I go to. The problem is, they don't currently have a makeup artist....the girl they had moved out of state. They're looking to hire one.

I live in Mineola....any recommendations in Nassau County?
