How are you?! Yes I just got back, I'll post something for all the brides, I was waiting until I get some pictures back so I can post some along with my review!![]()
Belize was awesome!!! We had the best time on Ambergris Caye, we spent a week there (in San Pedro) then went to San Ignacio where we did a lot of adventure tours, that was a lot of fun too but we missed San Pedro a lot!!! The hotel we stayed at was beautiful, relaxing and they made sure we were happy!![]()
The atmosphere is tropical, cool, very laid back, & yet a lot of fun!!!! The locals are EXTREMELY nice people, we made a lot of new friends there. It's not like the Bahamas or Aruba where everything is touristy or overpriced, it's also not the richest country, parts of San Pedro are very poor, but that adds to the quaintness of the island and it humbles you at the same time. The fact that the people there barely make $100 (US) a week and still have such a happy & great outlook of life is such a wonderful thing. You can go to the fanciest most delish restaurant there and go in shorts & flip flops!! We went to the bars along the beach and got to hear a lot of local bands and we GORGED ourselves with seafood & bread pudding!!! YUM!!!![]()
Everyone here at work loves my 'savage tan' as they call it, the weather was perfect, hot but not humid, the two days that it rained weren't bad because it just rained for a bit, then the sun would come out after so it didn't ruin anything. The water there is so clean and clear, we went diving and snorkeling, we took a catamaran tour, went lazy-river tubbing down the Mopan River, went canoeing in a cave, climbed a lot of Mayan Ruins, laid on the beach, it was all AWESOME!!!![]()
It depends on what hotel you stay in, a few of them are pricey but VERY worth it, some are less expensive but are more for people just going there to have fun. There were a lot of bachorette parties going on there which I thought was really neat! Someone also got married at our hotel the day we arrived, very romantic!![]()
