If you are not IO to losing the cabinet, what about getting shelf support brackets to hold the counter up?
Yeah, it was free (thanks Home De-pot) so I am not against ditching it.
Maybe I should ask those peoples what they think. Tell me what kind of brakets, etc. I can do it, they can help....

if you have a laundry area - throw the free cabinet in there (store beach towels, bathing suits, etc).

Your decor looks fancy. I like it alot. The switchplates are awesomely awesome, and is that a Buddha or a Shiva in the background? I told DH I want a big Buddha and he thought I was a weirdo

Thanks, I think I am fancy - I am not really. The switch plates were so easy. And free. I love finding random crafty projects on the internets.
It's a Shiva, I have a budda or two as well.
I love the big white budda that Pier One had. That is probably like way sacrelig of me to say - Pier One Budda. But they are so beautiful, no matter where they come from.

oh I will have to check that out. I have one Buddha - it is actually a mug (that doesn't look like a mug) that I got at a Hibachi place It is in my kitchen window. I have been looking for a Ganesha, but haven't found one I love that isn't a batrillion dollars

I have a few tiny little buddha statues, and Victor is always saying that they will send me to hell, because I am not, as a Catholic, allowed to worship false idols. Ummm- they're statues, I don't worship them. I told him that he has more of an issue with his Homer Simpson obsession. PLus he has a gargoyle in the window. Hypocrite.
