I am entering my 3rd year of law school and I have 2 'OCI' job interviews tomorrow. I interviewed a lot last summer for the summer associate thing, but it can never hurt to keep practicing! Can anyone suggest any questions that I can ask my interviewers? Also, what did everyone give as answers to the infamous 'why do you want to be a lawyer' question?
Thanks ladiessssssss

I asked if I would have an opportunity to observe courtroom work...that is usually a good one...also, if it is more transactional law, ask if you will have opportunities to assist more senior attorneys with document drafting.
My answer to the lawyer question was that I always dreamed about being able to get up and advocate for people and helping people navigate the legal system and I also said that I wanted help people who were less fortunate have a voice in court (i am now a trial attorney and i love it!)
Where are you interviewing and what type of law are you looking at?

Re: Lawyer-Brides - I need your help!!!
Thanks everyone!
I'm interviewing with two mid-sized firms - one up on Park Ave and another with offices in NYC and Garden City, LI. I'm primarily interested in Trusts and Estates, but I have more than 5 years experience as a litigation paralegal, plus I clerked for a judge. Probate litigation is my dream (haha - that sounds weird), but I'm also into T&E planning and administration. I also have a ton of Article 81 guardianship experience because I clerked for one of the first Article 81 judges and this past summer I was a summer associate in the T&E department of a big long island firm, most often working with one of the 'original Article 81 lawyers.'

I have no law experience so I have no advice to give, but I wanted to wish you good luck!! It looks like you have worked very hard in the past few years, with all your experience, and you should be proud!!!

Thanks to everyone who posted or FM'ed me for all the advice and well-wishes. The interview went really well (I think). I have another one tomorrow, so if you have time to say a prayer for me, I still need it!!!
