Le Ink Coquette *UPDATE*

Hi ladies,

I should first let you know that while I have never posted on this site before, I am an avid follower. This site has been incredibly helpful for me during my planning process. I have logged many hours on here researching vendors, looking at photos, and getting ideas for my wedding. Just like every bride on here, there have been some hiccups along the planning stages, however I have never been compelled to write a review such as this one. When it came time for me to search for someone to create all my paper goods for my wedding (menus, escort cards, table numbers, and church programs), naturally I looked on here, like I had for mostly every other vendor I’ve booked. I was directed to a former LI Wedding Bride (Eve) who had a page on Etsy, Le Ink Coquette. I immediately emailed her to get some information- the stuff on her page was so pretty. She took a few weeks to get back to me, but I generally give people the benefit of the doubt, so I assumed she was just busy.

When I started finalizing things like my guest list (I had to wait until my response date had passed), menu, and church music (for the programs), I emailed her each piece. We worked out a price, and she posted the listing on Etsy and I paid IN FULL. I asked her for a proof, waited and waited, and never received anything. Again, I was giving her the benefit of the doubt, and the optimist in me believed that everything would work in the end, and I would have everything in time by my wedding. I will say that the few times I did hear back from her she would say, this looks great, and I can’t wait to get started, etc etc, which eased my mind at the time. Her emails to me were polite, however she continuously dodged my questions regarding the status of my order.

Fast forward to this week (which is the week before my wedding)- I emailed her at least 10 times between last Friday and this past Tuesday asking her about my order, each time with a increased sense of urgency. NO RESPONSE- to this day, I have not heard from her! I did find out that she was pregnant, and was having a tough pregnancy. I completely understand that, but this had been going on for weeks- she could have asked her husband or a friend to log on and write me a quick email. How someone runs a business without replying to customers is beyond me. The amount of anxiety and stress that comes with a wedding is one thing, but the stress level the last few weeks is tenfold- as many of you already know. I was hardly able to sleep, eat, or concentrate at work because of this, and even worse, I was having a hard time looking forward to my wedding!!

I know Le Ink has been recommended many times on this website, but I just wanted to share my experience with this incredibly unprofessional vendor with all you future brides. I have since found a reliable, amazing person on Etsy, FM me if you would like the details. Sorry for the long review, but I hope this helps.

**UPDATE**
After this post, I finally got a response from Eve, who told me via email that she would refund me my money. That never happened, so I escalated the issue to PayPal. She stated formally through PayPal that she would refund the money. Again, that never happened. Luckily PayPal (NOT EVE/LE INK) refunded me my money.

Just wanted to warn all you future brides again of this horrible vendor!!

Aw that stinks! Did you get your money back?

Re: Le Ink Coquette

I reported the problem on Etsy, as well as to PayPal, but I'm still waiting. I can't see why I wouldn't get my money back, I mean I paid for goods that have not arrived, and I have not heard back from the seller.

Re: Le Ink Coquette

Isnt this Etsy shop run by an '08 or '09 bride??

Maybe someone on one of those boards knows how to reach her??

Re: Le Ink Coquette

She is an 09 bride, and I am pretty sure she has friends on here. Like I said earlier, I have since found an amazing seller on Etsy who was able to rush order all my items- http://www.etsy.com/shop/embellishedbytiffany

She's awesome to work with!

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME with this seller, I posted before but didn't say who the seller was. Anyway she told me she mailed them numerous times and I never receieved them. I order shower invites and ended up getting them from somewhere else because she never mailed me them. I also told abuse at etsy and am trying to get my money back now.

This is terrible!!! Thanks for the post. It is always good to know the good and the bad about a vendor before deciding to go with them. Keep fighting for your money back!!!

I'm glad you got your money back, albeit from PayPal and not the actual vendor. Sounds like a real nightmare, sorry you had to go through that

Congrats on getting your money back! I had a terrible experience with a different vendor for non-invitation related, and my credit card company has been fighting with them for a couple of months now. Thank the Lord for them, I would have lost a ton of money!

Its horrible that a former bride on this site no less would behave in such an unprofessional manner.

As brides we all know the stress we go through in planning a wedding and bad vendors are just an added stress.

Good Luck!

Re: Le Ink Coquette *UPDATE*

The same thing happened to me with an Etsy vendor....I never got my invites. I'm lucky enough that after 3 weeks of trying (Esty Abuse, Pay Pal & and Attorney) i was able to get my deposit back! Just be careful I suppose. Etsy shops are independent and Etsy cannot help you once you have purchased or put a deposit on your item. All I can suggest is emailing her THROUGH etsy everyday....sorry and I'm sure everything will work out.

Re: Le Ink Coquette *UPDATE*

I just looked at her shop and it did say she is closing due to issues with being pregnant (I assume?)....
