That sounds fine. When i had my 2 cats i had left them for 5 days with 4 huge bowls of food and a 4 large water bowls- and they were fine. there was always food and water left. Just make sure you leave a clean litter box

Thats the only thing. The litter box. Its gonna stink lol!! ESP if your cat goes the way my Rocco kitty goes.

When we use to go away for a weekend, we my 2 cats with 2 big dishes of food (dry), water bowls all over the house and 2 litter boxes. And we closed the doors to bedrooms so my vengeful kitties wouldn't decide to poo in shoes, which they have done to be spiteful about leaving them alone.

i have a mini water cooler for my cats. it's a bowl but the top is like a water cooler, and it fits half a gallon of water and it's like 12 bucks. definitely worth it bc cats drink plenty.

They'll be fine. They're not like dogs who will eat until they pop.

Re: Leaving cats alone

last yr when we went to Vegas for 7 days we left them 4 bowls of food, and like HUGE 4 bowls of water. when we came back they ate and drank about a 1/3 of everything.
and the litter box was fine considering the time we went for.

they were mad tho at us, and the first couple hrs barely acknowledged us

Re: Leaving cats alone

I've never left my kitty alone over night. I'm taking him with me for our wedding weekend. He's so much apart of my life he deserves to be there as much as the next. If i could i'd take him on our honeymoon. Lord knows I've had dreams about him in his GIANORMOUS crate. I know I'm pathetic. But he helped me get out of a bad relationship in order to free me up to meet my FH! And he helped me get over my sister getting married and moving out. Those were tough times.

hahah this is AWESOME bc u sound just like me. i left my girls alone once overnight when i went from my home in ft lauderdale to FSIL's home in palm beach just for the night, so they weren't even alone 24 hours. when i went home to NY for easter week, i flew with my kitties. i will be flying with them when i come home for the wedding, too, and my parents and sister will be watching them while we're on our HM.

but for the original poster, i think the cats will be fine for a few days. but purchasing the water cooler i mentioned would definitely help, even for your peace of mind.

I've left my cat alone for 4 days. We have a food timer and an automatic water dispenser. that sounds fine - don't worry!

HA HA HA Sorry! My cat is FAT. He's never survive without someone monitoring his food intake. I swear he'd eat it ALL before we even got out the door...then upchuck it all!

But i'm sure your Kitty is well trained. Mine's a MONSTER!
