If you left a wedding early (say 30-45 mins), would you take a CP with you?
A guest at my wedding (a very annoying guest, beyond quirky and NOT someone I'm close to) left the wedding 45 minutes early and took the CP from her table.
I was so stunned I didn't know what to say. Why would you take a CP if you're leaving early! Seriously... W T H? Everyone else was still there - few people left early... So strange.
Not to mention the fact that we did NOT do a CP give-away game nor had we told anyone they could take the CP home... strange.
Like I said, I'm no longer worried about it, but I found it extremely rude.
People are so effing strange... Is this normal and maybe I'm missing something?
I didn't care if people wanted to take one home, but (1) ask me or my parents and (2) don't expect to take it if you're leaving early! They are my wedding decorations and should be there for the ENTIRE wedding.
Thankfully we sat this woman in the back corner table. If they were up front, I think I'd have told her to put it back.

normally people only take them if you do a giveaway game..
never heard of just walking out of a wedding with a centerpiece like that.. esp when you dont know if the vase or whatever the base is needs to be returned to the florist!

Thats so rude - people are terrible! I cant believe someone would have the nerve to do that. If i was a guest sitting at that table I would've said something.
I just dont get people sometimes

That is sooooo RUDE!!!! I can't believe someone would do that. I would never dream of taking someones centerpieces unless they told me too. What if they were rented and needed to be returned and nobody saw them leave with it??? How tacky was she for doing that!!!!!!

She was the only person who took one other than my parents.
It was just so weird.
So many funny things happened that day!

Re: leaving early and taking CPs...
This is the same woman who was standing outside the church with the photographer waiting for me to get out of the limo so she could take pictures. THE NERVE!
She's not family - not even a close friend. We had to have BOTH limo drivers tell her the bride wouldn't be getting out of the limo until ALL Of the guests were seated. They even had to tell her it was my request b/c she tried to stay there. It was my request - no one sees me until I walk down the aisle except my parents and BMs.
She's just an oddball. I have to say it was aggravating, but really funny!!

Re: leaving early and taking CPs...
That is ridiculous. If I saw her doing that I would just let her know she can leave but not with the CP. Some people have no brains. Did she take other things like little things? I am going to do a giveaway game to give away the CP's so nobody just walks away with one they will have to work for it. But that is so wrong I would have definitely flipped especially if she is not even a family member.

Normally people take them at the end of the reception or if they win them, but I would never take it during the reception, and I wouldnt care if I won it

That IS rude! Good thing she was seated at the back.
I have one too--FH's mom's side of the family took doggie bags home. I found out and was annoyed because they tried to doggie bag EVERYTHING.

How incredibly rude!!!!!! Why would anyone think that they could just take a center piece without playing a give away game or without asking.

The same thing happened at my friends wedding this weekend she actually did have a CP giveaway game but some of the people that didnt win took the CP from other tables and left
