Leaving for ...

GA tomorrow morning at around 5am. We will be living there til about May for DHs job... I am SO NERVOUS! :(

I need hugs...

There are so many beautiful parts of GA. My sister went to law school down there many years ago and she loved it. My roommate from college transferred down there and never came back because she loved it so much. If it presents you and your DH with incredible opportunities, it may be a great thing. I agree- georgia is gourgeous!!!! I flew into Atlanta a few times when visiting DH and it is just a beautiful place!

best of luck! you just might end up loving it! my brother and his family moved to GA a few years ago and they love it there! we made a big move after our wedding to charlotte, nc and let me tell ya...the first 2 weeks was the hardest as far as homesickness. but after that, we really fell in love with our new hometown! good luck!

i'm not sure that will make her feel any better

but it's true - DH will be with you, so think of it as a new adventure! i know it must be nervewracking, but i think once you get down there it will be exciting and hopefully as you get settled in, you will love it more and more. i hear georgia is beautiful and would love to see it. hopefully the trip will turn out great!!!

just saw this thread and wanted to post....

i lived in the Carolinas for awhile, and my ex-BF was from Georgia. i know you're nervous about moving and such, but Georgia is not the typical backwards redneck state that is portrayed in movies and such. there are lots of great things to do, and plenty of culture & history to explore! the main thing is you'll be with DH and be able to experience it together. it'll take some getting used to, but ppl down south are so hospitable, it's amazing!
