Today is FHs last day here in NJ, we want to move to Florida and have a home there, my family has a second home there now that we visit frequently. Well, FH was looking for jobs in Florida so we could establish something down there first so we don't just go down there jobless after the wedding. Well, sooner than we thought an amazing job in Orlando came up and he is getting paid a lot to work there. So we decided that he would take the job there and live in my families home until the wedding, and while he is there we can scope the area for our own home and have one before the wedding. I will be back and forth a lot but I can't live there now due to the planning and such. Today we are throwing him a going away party and tomorrow he is driving down with my dad.( btw my dad is currently living in that house too bc he is starting up a business there) so fh won't be lonely lol. Anyway, although this is all good news and plans for our future, I am so sad bc I have never been away from fh for more than a week :( today is my last day with him here!!

Awww im sorry ...it will go by so fast ..so dont worry...i know its hard but try not to think about it too much ..and try doing stuff to get your mind off of it Feel better
If you have a job here that you can't leave, that's one thing. But if it's just wedding planning that's keeping you here instead of in FL with FH... move to Florida! There are plenty of brides who plan long-distance (I live overseas), and you've already booked the big vendors.
Whether you're living in NY and visiting FL or vice versa, it's not so far -- definitely doable for weekend trips. FH and I live eight time zones apart... skype keeps our relationship going.
ITA. Don't stay here just for the planning. You can always fly in, and most things you can plan on the phone or through email.

I can't go now although I wish I could, I am working for an event planning company this summer and signed on for a million parties this summer which is gonna make me some serious cash for the wedding. I can't go down until at least the end of august :) plus with his new job he's gonna be so busy if I went there i would be bored all day waiting around for him ;P

just look at the bright side! your FH is working to get you an amazing house.. your planning your WEDDING and your working an awesome job!! like some others said its def doable for a weekend trip and time will fly by... congrats on all your awesome news and gl with finding a !!!

aww thank you girlies for your kind words, I actually am doing very well i only cried with him on friday for 10 mins and i havent cried again, I feel good about him going down today. We are actually thinking of upgrading our 3GS iphones to the iphone 4 so we can also skype on our phones

UPDATE: FH absolutely loves his job, we get free tickets to every single park and attraction in Florida, discounts on flights, cars, cruises, cell phone bills, plus much more. I miss him but I am past the depression part and now im excited that things are working out :) Plus, I made time to go down with my mom the last week of July for 2 whole weeks!! cant wait to go visit my love!!!!

So glad your FH loves his job and you have a two week trip down plan. What's important is that even though your living situation is less than ideal now, you are doing what's best for your future! You'll probably both look back on this time much further in the future and be glad that you did it!! And getting a house- thats WONDERFUL!!!

why can't you move and plan from florida? i planned my entire wedding while living in florida and would schedule all my appointments when i would go up there every few months for a weekend- it's hard, but not impossible

Well I have most of the planning done but the main thing is my job I have a really good job here in NJ doing event planning that is making Me lots of extra cash for the wedding :)
