Lending Tree

We have gotten some great offers from lending tree. Did anyone use them and how do you go about it? Do you just contact the bank when you like their offer? What are the pros/cons of using lending tree?

we used lending tree and got a great rate. they give you a list of mortgage companies and what they are each willing to offer you. we ended up using one of the companies we got through lendingtree-- mortgage by internet which is a division of north american savings bank. i would highly recommend them. everything was so easy and went so smoothly. we did everything by email, phone, and fax. we worked with harold marshall who was so helpful and either answered his phone or called us back right away with any questions we had. right after our closing our loans were transferred to chase and wells fargo anyway, which i hear happens often with mortgages. i can't think of any cons to using lending tree, but i would also suggest checking out mortgage by internet. they beat the rates of every other lender we looked into. and they were very fast. they were ready to do the closing way before the attorneys and sellers were ready. they also try to make everything very easy and don't require that much paper work.
