length of train?

So I wanted to get a really long train for my gown, but my mom is trying to convince me to either get a shorter one or a detachable one. The gown is made of satin and feels of average weight. What do you think I should do?

I am having a super long train and I love it!!! It is what I have always wanted!!! I also always wanted a super long veil too, but because there is soo much detail on my train, I dont want to 'hide' it by the veil, so I am getting a fingertip veil with lots of detail on the edges!!!

Awesome--and you're not worried about the weight of the train at all?

i want a really long veil but i still can't find a price-friendly maker! i'm goin to make a trip to tri-county and check out barron since it comes highly recommended by a few LIW ladies...

I bought a cathedral and fingertip veil. They are putting the two together for me. I'll be able to detatch the cathedral after ceremony and pics. I got them at tri county
