We added on an extra hour and so we booked the Garden City Hotel for 6 hours and I am very happy with it because it is from 6-12 which I think is a good time period for a Sat evening. Do you think guests will feel like this is too long?? I don't, because we split that extra hour between the CH and the reception, so the CH is 6-7:30 and the reception is 7:30-12. Any thoughts?? Thanks!!

no that sounds like a great time frame. mine is ceremony 7:30-8 and cocktial 8-9 and reception 9-1. I would love to have another half hour or hour earlier, but can;t cuz the day event runs til like 5

my church is at 2:30 ( full mass)
and reception is 7:30 - 1:30 including vh
Almost exactly the same as mine - I'm having a full mass at 2:30 as well, then the reception 6-12.

I think thats perfect. Did you have to pay extra to extend it? We are having ours from 6:30-12:30 (including ceremony) and actually thinking to extend for an extra hour so everything will be 7 hours instead of 6
Yes it's an extra $15pp for the extra hour, and that's without tax or gratuity so it'll be a few thousand extra. This does not include ceremony, as I'll be getting married in the Catholic church.
My place wants extra 10 ppl

I think it's worth it. Just remember you need to pay band and possibly photog extra too!!!
