There is a nice park right near there called Stepping Stone Park-
Its 125 if you are not a resident...its absolutely GORGEOUS!!
Its right by the merchant marine academy.

I used to go there alllll the time as a kid. My grandmother used to live in Great Neck. Its a beautiful park!
