Leonard's in Great Neck?

Original post by violet

Anyone ever been there for a wedding or had their wedding there? I'm really leaning towards having it there because the prices are pretty good, and you get a lot of food. I haven't seen the room yet though because there was a wedding there. I'd be having it in the Continental Room? Any opinions?

I think I am going to book here, but it will be for the Holiday Parisian room because the Continental room was booked for all the days I possibly wanted. That is a good thing because the HP room is a little bigger and seats 180 instead of 140. I think it looked the same as the Continental, it was just a little bigger. And they're still going to give it to me for a 100 minimum. So far, they have been very accomodating. I can't believe how booked this place was, I didn't have any problems with having date available at other places, but I guess that can be a good thing.

I'm booked at Leonard's as well, and they've
been great!! I dealt with Antonio, which was a sweatheart. I also heard that Maurichio was very nice. If you have any questions, feel free to send FM.

Yeah, when I first went there, I dealt with Mauricio, and he spent an hour going through our menu options with us, but I had to see Antonio yesterday to see the rooms b/c Mauricio was out, but I plan on going back to Mauricio when I book it b/c I don't know if they make commission or not, and he was the one who was originally helping us.

The only thing I don't like about the room is the white-tiled floors, but besides that, I think the room is probably the nicest I've seen. I want a fancy place.

Holy crap August04! I just saw you are booked for August 6. That's one of our two options for days, but I think we're going to go for November. Are you the one who had the Continental room booked for that day? Ha, that's weird.

I also just wanted to add that I read the comment about them charging more for Columbus Day weekend. Westbury Manor charged more for that weekend also because some people don't want Sunday weddings b/c people have to work the next day. This gives you an advantage then to do it on a Sunday if some don't do it for that reason because the next day is a holiday.
