Does anyone know how much Leonard's charge you for vendors and children?
I think half for children and a third for vendors which happens after your minimum. If you don't reach your minimum they are full price.
Okay great thanks!!!!!!

Hey Ladies, Sorry to crash! I'm a 2010 Leonard's bride. I read in your chat that your vendors need to be insured. This may sound stupid, but would that happen to include Florist???
I'm trying to save $$ so I may have a friend do my flowers, I just want to be sure that she doesn't have to be insured....
Photographer and DJ, no doubt they need to be.
THanks in advance!

Really stupid question:
Do the bride and groom get included in the head count? In other words- do we pay for ourselves?

i know at my final meeting they asked who my florists is, but i dont think its for insurance purposes. i believe it was because if you are using one of th ehouse vendors that they recommend to you, then they get a % for doing the recommendation .

So I got the call from Ian last night and my meeting with him is a week from today.
I have to say I am shocked that it is so early..I thought it wouldn't be until at least late Aug early Sept.
Anyway- for those of you who have already met with Ian..what did you go over in the meeting? Was he pleasant to work with?

I met with Ian last month. He was really nice to us. We were there for like almost 3 hours because we were just talking for a long time. Very nice man, just probably misunderstood as he has a deep voice and it seems like he is harsh, but I don't think he's rude at all.

We went over what type of menu we wanted. We got a rundown of all the upgrades. We chose a cake from a book. We were given placescards and extra direction cards. A copy of your contract with any payments you have made. A seating chart with where your dais will be at. We were told our place card table will be in the cocktail room. We had to let him know how many people would be in the bridal suite. He was very nice with us kept offering us something to drink.

Hi guys! I am not an 09 bride but I figured you would be the best people to ask this question. How many people (realistically) can fit at the smaller tables? (that say 8-10) Also, has anyone been to/had a wedding in the empire room? How many tables will fit? Hopefully somone knows (I can´t go see it b.c I live in Ecuador) my fam is giving me conflicting info.

Re: Leonard's of Great Neck 09er's Question & Answer thread
Met with Ian yesterday and he was great! I feel much less anxiety than I did before about everything. The only thing I realized is that we are definitely going to have to tip the Matre D the 4-5 dollars per person because he is the one who tips the waiters, etc. So thats a lot of money right there. The service charge isnt actually for the servers.
