Leonard's of Great Neck -OR- Chateau Briand????

Leonard's of Great Neck -OR- Chateau Briand????

I really need help deciding this one. Today I went to go see both places. I loved them both, Chateau Briand a little more, but Leonard's wasn't too far behind. The 1st thing is that the price for Chateau Briand is significantly higher. The 2nd is the only time Leonard's had available was 9pm - 2am. Does everyone think that's a little too late for a wedding reception? Chateau Briand is 8:30pm - 1:30am which is not much different. I'm really confused!!!

that is weird with the time...9pm is late to start but if you dont mind then its fine otherwise you still have ALOT of options out there.

and if i had to pick one i would personally pick chateau briand. But it all depends on what youre looking for and what each place has to offer. Good luck

Personally I would pick Chateau Briand. I herd some bad things about Leonards. And espically after the carbon monoxide thing last weekend.

Leonards I've heard a lot about. It's a gorgeous place.

My friend had her wedding at Leonards 3 years ago and it was very nice. I really thought the place was very pretty etc. When I got engaged we didn't even consider Leonard's because my friend just had her wedding there, but also it's not really my style - beautiful just not 'us'.

We actually chose Chateau Briand. We found the place to be beautiful, not like every other reception hall, also great service, great decor, price reasonable, etc etc. So I'm a little biased but I'd choose Chateau Briand.

Do a search on the reviews of both places - I know Chateau Briand has gotten some great reviews. Also, their 'smallest' room is what we're using and they've just made some new upgrades to it (check out my album for pics in case you didn't see that room). They just did major renovations a couple of years ago and they're still updating rooms etc. GOOD LUCK!

I actually got married at Leonards but considered both places. Although Leonard's was a bit more expensive I think the food is slightly better!

JMO.

Either which way they are both georgeous places!

Chateau Briand is nice, I saw an episode of Whose wedding is it anyways and a couple were having their wedding there, it was really nice, they came in from the floor. Leonards, its OK, decor is nice and all but its OK. I never heard of a wedding starting at 9 and ending at 2. I hope its a Sat they are talking about and not a Sun.

Not anymore... they upgraded the ceiling and the 'neon' lights (it was actually a blue night sky ceiling) has draping/tulling on it so it looks much more classy and pretty. See my album for pics of the upgrades.
