So my dream would be to have my wedding at Oheka Castle but that is beginning to seem unrealistic and I really don't want to wait ANOTHER year. So I was thinking about the Lessing's mansions but I don't know anyone who has been to/had a wedding there. Anyone who has that can give me some info/pictures? From the website, my faovirte is the Bourne or the Vanderbilt both in Oakdale. An idea on pricing would be great too :)

Re: Lessing's Properties, anyone got some info?
If you go to the Lessing's site, click on the venue, then click on details, it will tell you prices all the way at the bottom of the page. Good luck!

Also if you search in the brides review vanderbilt mansion, theres a wedding from last year i think, that looks real nice
actually this one is from 2 yrs ago but you can see the grounds really good, there are other newer ones you can check out too
They both have a site fee. I know the fee for Bourne is $5000. I'm not sure how much the site fee is for Vanderbilt.

I'm getting married at Bourne this October...
had my tasting today and it was very good.
Site fee is $4,000 for us. Price per person ranges on the time of year and day of week.
Ranges from $110- 165
Includes cost of ceremony on site, all food, all liquoir, cake, everything.
They seem to always be running specials.. right now they have 20% off this november or december.
Bourne can hold more people than vanderbilt...

i too went to the bourne mansion (revisiting in a few weeks and then seeing vanderbilt). price really varied on the day of the week and time of year. saturdays are high commodities with friday/sunday being cheaper.
i know for may/june 2011 the site fee for a saturday was 4500. while cost per person was average that is something to calculate in. they also require 150 people for a saturday night minimum.
I'm getting married at the west sayville cc this saturday - its a smaller mansion but also one of the lessings. same feel but cozier - I'll have pics when I get back
