Lestan Fashion Headquarters

My sister got married several years ago. Both she and my mother ordered their dresses from Lestans. Well I must say they were very rude to them, and they were the customers. They were just harsh people and I did not care for the service. I had a dress which was recreated from another dress. They wanted nothing to do with helping me create my dress, they were almost down right nasty about it... I understand that is not what they do, but they were MEAN!!!!

There was one salesperson in particular, unfortunately I cannot recall her name, that was obnxious and rude.... Some of the salespeople were nice, but overall I do not think they are anything special..

I went there a few weeks ago. I also found the saleslady to be very rude. She acted like she didn't even want to help me. The place looks dirty and so do the sample dresses (no offense to anyone please). Then I thought okay, maybe it's just me... The following day I went to Kleinfeld's and Valentina's (in Brooklyn) and both places were so much better than Lestan's. I am most probably going with Kleinfeld's for my dress (I always heard that they had a bad rap) but so far my experience with them has been nothing but pleasant.

I ordered my dress at Lestan's. At first I thought it was kinda strange looking, but the saleslady was very nice and very helpful. Luckily they had a new sample for me to try on and it is one of only four stores in NY that has my dress It is just like anywhere else, it depends on who you get.

I just ordered my BM dresses at Lestans...my family had used them for dresses years ago and has always been satisfied. The reason I used them was b/c one of my BMs had a connection and was able to get the girls a bit of a discount. If not for this reason, I wouldn't have used them. The manager, Tammy, was very nice, but the Tammy who took our order seemed annoyed by the whole thing, especially b/c two of my girls have to call in their orders. She was not very helpful.
There was one dress maker who told my friend that she was a 'big girl', which she is not at all, but even so, it was completely rude to say. My friend was very upset by this, and I felt bad that she was then giving them her money to put a deposit on the dress. There were other people we spoke to there who were very warm, helpful and friendly, so I think it depends on who you get.

Thanks for all the replies, it seems like its not worth a trip to drive out to Brooklyn, I'm from Long Island. It's just that they have one of dresses I was considering but I'm flexible. Lestan's is off my list!
