Im am ready to pull all of my hair out! Trying to plan a wedding miles away is soooooooo frustrating. Im trying to get things in order for pre-cana which we have to do in Florida(were we live right now) and I keep missing my phone calls from the deacon up there telling me that the main diosis(spelling??) down here needs us to fill out more papers because Im catholic and FH is not. Im flipping out! Why can't anything be easy??? This is supposed to be a happy time, right? Sorry girls thanks for listening

I feel your pain! Im far away too and I just said screw it for now, lol. I give up. Don't worry though, once you get all the little BS out of the way, it will be way more fun!

take a deep breath---this is not a big deal--- really! you just need to ask the priest or deacon from your diocese to fill out what is called an inter-faith dispensation. This needs to be filled out for any Catholic that is marrying a non-Catholic so that the marriage is considered a Sacrament for you. They will know exactly what to do and should complete that and forward it to the parish where you will be getting married. He is probably asking you to do this because they have a different Pre-Cana for inter-faith couples.... basically it's the same Pre-Cana a Catholic marrying a Catholic gets, but it focuses more on the religious issues that you will face: In what faith will we raise our children? How will we raise our children? Will we continue to practice separately or does your FH want to convert? Etc. etc.
Hope this helps!

Re: Let me tell you something!
I Never NEVER felt like it was a joyous time planning. I could not wait for the day to come b/c I knew all the stress of it all would be over and Everything would be accomplished by then.
I also couldn't wait for the honeymoon Best PART to unwind! That is why us Brides have a honeymoon for decompression of the planning of it all!
Just try to remember to Breath.
