Let's All Get Along!

I signed on this morning to see the animosity still lingering! I'm sorry I ever became involved in the conversation of Tipping. I thought I was allowed to give my opinion. I think we should all go back to what were doing before that topic of discussion. NO ONE should be afraid to give an opinion, but we should, including myself, hold back on insults to anyone or coming off that way. I agree with that! Let's try to get along and go forward from here. Wendy, I think every bride or groom on this site is capable of having a relationship and we are all getting married, or have just gotten married and, therefore, let's hold back on comments such as people not being capable of being married. That hurt!

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)

Let's All Get Along!

To clarify...I was simply stating my opinion on what I had seen in the last 2 weeks, in hopes that the personal attacks would cease. I was not addressing my comments to anyone specific. Furthermore, I never said that people on this site are incapable of having a relationship or getting married. Having been married before(for a very long time) I know that it is vitally important to be able to deal with differences of opinion on an everyday basis. If people cannot do that on a virtually anonymous chat site, however will they do it at home?

Now...enough already..I wish everyone nothing but the best.

Some places it didn't matter that it was a weekday, make some calls you can find deals.

I think the home situation is a little personal. This is a bulletin board, not home. It's very different.

Kate..you are absolutely correct. I feel the same as you. Wendy went too far when suggesting people should grow up and can't handle home relations if they can't handle this board. I think comments like that are uneccessary and add to the sniping she claims she didn't like. Kate for what it's worth...I also agree with you on the tipping situation. The fact that a vendor would even suggest that a better job would be done the better the tip is appauling. To me it puts a bad taste in my mouth as far as vendors go.

Kate, we tried to book the same holiday weekend for 2001, and almost half of the places we looked at had been booked...some almost 2 years in advanced. We could have saved a lot of $$$.

As for Valerie, one place we looked at told us that there prices weren't flexible regardless if it was a holiday or not, so as Kate said, it can't hurt to ask!

Thanks Ann-Marie. It means a lot to me that I'm not alone. I thought that my beliefs were way off. I don't know, maybe its the way we live or the way we grew up. I guess the way we think is old fashioned. I think????
