I met with a baker this weekend b/c I am obsessed with having what is called 'Dominican Cake' at my wedding..It is sort of a tradition and no RH is really going to be able to make an authentic one...
My FH thinks it's silly that I won't just go with the cake that's included in the RH package but whatever...
Here's my dream cake only the background frosting will be tiffany box blue and the lace will be white...

mmmm...I just have to say that I LOVE dominican cake. I'm going with the cake the RH provides for the wedding...but this might be an idea for the RD.
Which baker did you meet with? Could you please FM me the info.?
Find out what bakery your rh uses and then go through them for an upgrade...thats what I am doing!

I am going to keep you in mind...I met with a baker but I cannot in good conscience give you the info as there were some issues...so when I know..I will be sure to keep you posted..
I could just ask my RH to make the recipe but I need the real authentic flavor...something tells me a country club in setauket may not exacltly have that needed latin spice lol and if it was not like what i grew up with i'd be heartbroken...

Thank you for keeping me in mind! I agree with you...i doubt a country club in Setauket would get it just right.
