Let's see your Bustles!

Let's see your Bustles!

What does your bustle look like? Who did it? And how much did it cost? I think I've figured out how my mom can do a simple bustle on my dress while still showing off the decoration on the end of the train. My dress a semi-chapel length train--seems pretty short to me--with a beaded decoration on the very end.

I had a much longer train. But if I had your dress I would have just one point right in the middle to pick up the train just enough - that way the rest of the train would fall into a triangle and show off the beautiful detail.

I had a longer train but a similar style on the back of the dress.
Here's an ok pic of my bustle that I have uploaded (it was a one tier french bustle):

I usually don't like pick ups, but I LOVE your bustle. So nice!

Thank you! It's a Fall 06 Casablanca. Beautiful, and affordable. I loved the Casablanca dresses! I tried on four and they were all beautiful and extremely flattering.

I was thinking about that, but there's nowhere to hide the hook, button or loop, and I love the smooth sweep of the satin. My thought was to have a two point underbustle, with the ribbons under the pleats, pulling it up so that the detail was still visible. Sort of like this--oh well, I couldn't get the photo to load, it's too big a file, and I don't know how to make the jpeg smaller in the crappy home version of Photoshop that I have here. You'll just have to take my word for it! As I said, two points, with sort of a fold between them, pulled up almost like a roman or balloon window shade so that you still see the detail
