Re: Lets Start a Hawaii Thread
We ended up adding the Big Island on when we where there b/c we wanted to do the volcano thing and a day trip was the same amount of money for 3 nights to stay in a hotel on the big island, we didn't stay in a 5 star hotel there. B/c when u do the day trip to go see the volcano its an all day thing... I wouldn't say go there thats up to you, if u want to see the real volcano & flowing lava. My Hubby did. I stayed at the outrigger on the beach in Oahu, it was really nice, and kauai Sheraton, and Maui Sheraton, very very nice..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Lets Start a Hawaii Thread
hey there,
I'm going to hawaii 3/4-3/16... I'm doing Oahu & Maui...
I have a question... how much do we really need in spending money for a 'nice' HM?? w/o being cheap or scimping on ourselves... I'm hearing from past brides that they spent $6-$7k's??!!!... could that be possible...

If you are going to Oahu you HAVE to go to the polynesian cultural center..... it is awesome.....it is worth spending the cash and getting good seats!

What are you planning to do in Kauai? It seems our to do list is longer in Maui than it is in Kauai (the bike ride down the volcano, luau, Road to Hana) but, we're staying in Kauai longer. I am interested in doing the helicopter ride, my friend did it and her pics are awesome. I am also planning to relax at the beach and the pool
You may want to pick up the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook; it's great. We picked up yesterday at Borders yesterday and haven't put it down since!
BTW - we are staying in the Hilton Hawaiian Village the first night; then off to Maui for 5 nights at the Hyatt and then off to Kauai for 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt.

Anybody doing a Cruise? My hubby and I are takeing the 15 day cruise out of LA, so we will only get 1 day on each Island, so we are going to only get to the 'must See's'. I have to book our activities now.

Since there's such a long French Pol one, I think we need one of our own....
So...how long are you going and where are you staying? And what activities do you want to do?
I'm staying 9 nights - 4 in Kauai, 5 in Maui. Both at the Hyatt.
I REALLY want to do the bike ride down the volcano...anyone else plan to do that?
We did the ride down the volcano in Maui. I found it terrifying but DH loved it. It got better once we were off the cliffs though, a little less scary.

I didn't get it, if you go to the entertainment book website, it shows you what kind of coupons it has. We wouldn't have gotten much use out of it.
