but seriously...its dh's car but i drive it since he takes the LIRR...we've had it for 4 years...amazing drive and i feel so safe in it

Crashing because I owned the Nissan Altima and DH had a X3...

DH's X3 gave him sooo many problems but he got the first year model and he had random things happen to it like water leaking in through the tail lights and the carpets got saturated with water!!! He also had a lot of mechanical problems. I think his was a 05 or 06, which was the first year of the x3 so any year after that hopefully they fixed those issues. A co worker of mine had the same year x3 and had water leakage issue too!! Other than the minor leaking issues the car drove really nice and i loooooved it.

I just turned in my Altima and I loooovved it. I didnt want to turn it in but we decided to go with something cheaper for now since DH's lease is up next June. That way we can save up more money so DH can get me a new x3 or a cx-7.

If you go with the used x3 make sure you get the carfax on it to see if it had any issues.

I have a 2009 Toyota Rav4....it's great. We looked at the CX7, but the Rav4 gets SO much more mileage......22mpg versus 17mpg, and all I do is drive for a living, so that was important.

I have 2006 VW Passat....I LOOOVE LOOOOVE LOOOOVE this car. It's not terrible on the gas mileage, it has an awesome interior, and has a good ride. This car has given me ZERO problems in the three years I've owned it. The only things I've had done on it were regular maintenance, some warranty issues (what car doesn't have this), and tire replacements. I have no plans on getting rid of it any time soon.

FH has a BW 330i. While I love this car too, the thing is always needing to be serviced because the check engine light always comes on. Also, if you bring it to BMW in Great Neck, they keep your car for a minimum of three days.

I'll also say that I owned a 2005 Altima and was not impressed.

so far only 1 person said they havent had a prob with their x5..and that person is a moron that thinks if something its expensive, its perfect. so im not trusting her at alll lolllllll and she got the car 2 months ago. ahah but im stilll obsessed with the x3!!!

We just bought an Acura RDX less than 2 weeks ago. It is the smaller version on the MDX and we love it!! We def wanted a crossover and looked at the Honda CR-V, Volvo XC60 and Nissan Murano.

The CR-V would have been the reasonable, practical choice. It drove nice, hondas are reliable, etc. But the RDX was just more of a 'luxury' car. So we splurged and got the RDX. Now is actually a good time to buy bc the 2011 cars are coming out so they are getting rid of the 2010s.

We got the RDX for the invoice price plus tax etc. Look on kelly blue book and you can see the MSRP, invoice price and about what people are paying!

omg Kimmie! i totally forgot about the RDX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i saw it on the road last night. it drove passssed me and i chased it.. my car going more than 55 mph is asking for trouble..but i was determined to find out what that car was..and it was the RDX!!!!! do you mind fmming me how much u paid ? (u dont have to)

i lovee it!!! do u think it will look good in white?

I have had an RDX for over 2 years and I can't wait to get rid of it. Don't get me wrong, the features and the ride are amazing. Fun to drive, has everything you could ever want.... AS LONG AS YOU DON'T WANT TRUNK SPACE!!! We put a cooler in the trunk and we can't fit anything else. The back seats are always slanted back in the 2008 model (don't know if they fixed it) and you can't put anything up against them, its wastes so much room. And the slant of the hatch door takes away from a ton of room to and restricts what you can put in it. If you don't need alot of trunk space its a great car tho... but we can fit more in DH's 2009 Altima trunk.

p.s. his altima is awesome and we love it!

yikes! considering i havent opened my trunk in forever.. i dont use it.. but thats cuz i never have ppl in my car..so the entire back seat is useful lol

My husband drove a wrx sti when I first met him that shot fire out of the tail pipe. I swear I thought I would die in that car, and every time we drove in it, I smelled like gasoline when I got out. Great memories! lol

DH's family only drives BMW's, my FIL is the president of the bmw club, they race bmw's its seriously an obsession. When he bought the subaru i thought they were going to exile him Anyway, they firmly believe that bmw's are the best cars and will last forever. However they think they are for 'real drivers' and not for women who can't drive a 5 speed

Try the Tiguan.....I love my VW, the blue lights inside are so pretty. They're also pretty sturdy, so if safety is a concern for you, you will know you won't be crushed like a piece of tin if you ever get hit in an accident.

BMW 238i. DH has a volvo S40 (used to be mine) - love both. the volvo isn't cheap but obviously is less than the BMW and i highly recommend. it is probably the safest car on the road and rides like a dream.

please buy new Barb. this is my 4th car (bought brand new 5 years ago) and have NEVER, EVER had a single problem.

I love my Tiburon but have to either insure it part-time or get something bigger when we have kids
