We have a 2009 Honda Accord Coupe. We absoluetly love it but so does everyone else. We had two of our tires stolen & then our window broken when another person was trying to steal the tires.
DH also had a 2005 Honda Accord which he loved. We got into an accident with it & that car saved my life.

I spent 9 years (16-25 years old) dealing with hand me down cars. I will never go back to that again. Everything is such a hassle with them.

I have a 2009 Toyota Camry which is perfect for when we have little . FH has a 2007 Nissan Sentra also good for when we have little . We plan on driving those cars into the ground. If you just maintain them, then it will last forever. We have no problems with either one of them. They are both a very smooth ride. I love my Camry. There's a lot of room, especially if you like to go shopping.

ok HERES my dilemma:

i am obsessed with the X3.. like, everytime i see it parked i hug it or point and go thats going to be mineeeee..

can i afford it? yes. will i have to cut back on other spending to have SOME savings, YEP. but i REALLLLLLY want it. if i do get one, it will be a 2007 with like 40k miles..

OR

i can get a 2010 Altima or a 2010 civic with ZERO miles and continue my normal lifestyle.

( finance with 8-10k down on any car i get)

DH says i should just go on craigslist and buy a used car. but he changes cars A LOT. I plan on keeping my car for 10+ yrs. I also want a crossover cuz in a few yrs when we have a kid... it'll just be safer.

im tornnnn

Get the Altima. New cars have less issues. I like my Maxima but honestly I wish I had gotten the Altima. My friend has one in white and it's gorgeous, drives friggin awesome and gets pretty good gas mileage. if you can afford it without a change of lifestyle then it's a win. Cutting back for a car payment SU CKS.

My friend had a brand new BMW and the thing was constantly in having something fixed.

I have a 09 Saturn Vue, which I love, but wish I had bought something a little higher.

FH has an 09 Charger.

Both cars are fully loaded and we have the car payments to prove it. It's killer. It costs more per month to drive these 2 cars than our rent.

And we live and work together, so we carpool to work. Every other week one of ours cars is sitting in the driveway for the week. As my brother calls it, a driveway queen.

We contemplated trading in the Charger for the Camaro. But, We are almost 2 years into that loan and I have no desire to start over. Both of these cars are good for when the babies come, so we will be driving them for awhile.

ETA - my favorite was my O6 Pontiac G6. It was red and fully loaded. Loved and miss that car.

I have a 2009 Jetta...no issues wit it. I'm not into cars, so I would never say I love it : ) Prior to that I had a 2006 Honda Cr-V. I liked that as well...was good on gas and reasonable.

I'm thinking the Volkswagen Tiguan next when I turn in the Jetta.

I have an Infiniti EX 35. Love it!! White, fast, backup camera. I looked at the X3 (white =)) but they didn't have certain features I wanted so I didn't feel it was worth the $$.

I'm glad you girls love your civic. I hate mine. I bought it because everyone said how great hondas are.......something is always going wrong with mine. I can't wait to get rid of it. It's a 2005 Special Edition.

I just bought a Mazda CX7 3 weeks ago. I love it. It's a cross over..got the grand touring edition.

i was looking at it last night. Will wants me to get that car. are you happy with it? is it decent on gas?

Also, theres another car I 'like' but i know some1 who has it and i really REALLYYYYYY HATE THEM! ive never hated some1 so much in my life. so i dont want to get the same car as them lol. i know its childish.. but when u daydream about chioking them and smiling about it, u kinda dont want to have the same of anything as them lol

should i just grow up and test drive?

Honestly, I love it. I got it in pearl white with beige leather. It has a back up camera so I don't kill kids. I'm getting about 17 miles to the gallon on average right now. My husband said it will be a little more in the winter, without the AC. We went to Garden City Mazda and the dealer was Bob. He was very nice, but Wayne haggled him on the price for 4 hours. At one point I felt bad for him...anyway, we got a good deal and 0% financing. I put 10,000 down on the car, including my trade in, which they gave me way too much money for. Good luck!

Crashing.

Had a Toyota Rav 4 from 2002-2007. Then leased a Nissan Murano from 2007-2010. Recently leasing a Nissan Rogue from 2010-2013 and I LOVEEEEEEEE IT. We got a great deal at the Nissan in Huntington.

My husband drove a wrx sti when I first met him that shot fire out of the tail pipe. I swear I thought I would die in that car, and every time we drove in it, I smelled like gasoline when I got out. Great memories! lol

BMW 238i. DH has a volvo S40 (used to be mine) - love both. the volvo isn't cheap but obviously is less than the BMW and i highly recommend. it is probably the safest car on the road and rides like a dream.

ive never heard of the 238i??

Re: Let's talk about CARS..

crashing...

but i have an 09 altima...

i had the exact same problem as you(except i wanted the bmw 328xi coupe)

i debated foreverrrrr....bc i wanted that bmw since i graduated college and got my first job

i can afford the bmw...but the altima is a much easier payment

the altima drives beautifully, soooo smooth! great on gas, if you get the leather you really feel like youre driving in a luxury car imo.

also, if you want to keep the car for 10+ years then Id get something brand new

butttttt on the flip side, if youre planning on keeping it that long, make sure you're happy with it!!!
