So I made a count on what we owe so far for the wedding. We have all major vendors booked with the exception of a videographer and we are already up to 30k we haven't even begun to factor in the rest of the little things. I don't know if we're gonna make it!! It's so frustrating and FH is really worried. Anyone else having this issue?

Oh i feel ya! FH and I have been so stressed about money its terrible! We are also doing construction on the house so it just adds to the money issues!

how did just putting deposits down get you to 30K. I have a 15K budget and only have put down about $1,500 (which includes the 1K RH deposit)..Once I book the DJ, photog and florist, I'll be down another 3K. The balance isnt due until the week of the wedding w/ most vendors..thats plenty of time.

right now our budget is between 20-25k in deposits (and i have all vendors booked) we left about 2800..and the balances are due the month of the wedding

Our budget was originally $15 k and we uped it to $20K and we are bringing it in under that. So far we have only put down around 1500.00 in dep and we dont have to start paying for anything till 3 months before and the last month.

I've paid like $4,000 so far in deposits, $3,000 so far is just RH. The RH will receive $5,000 before my final payment is due before the wedding.
My budget is $17k...and right now I am at $17,150 in projected costs. Having a Thursday wedding saved me sooooooooo much

this is including the RH, and its not just deposits, its total we have to pay, LOL, OMG can u imagine if it were just deposits. This is not a platinum wedding

I've actually been really good at sticking to budget so far. We've gone over on a lot of things, but we've also been under on a lot. It helps that I have some connections (i.e. photographer and florist). I'm sure in the end, I'll still be over budget, but it shouldn't be too much.

Uhhhhhh I think we started out around $25k but we'll probably do between $28 and $30k....but that's with the honeymoon.
Edited to add that we are hoping for no more than 110 people.

I really never started with a budget. My parents are paying for the RH-- up to 200 people -- which is around $31k. My list has grown to 300 people...and I am hoping 100 of them dont come...or FH and I need to cover that. The thought of spending $15k for those additional guests is making me sick.
Our vendors total around $20k. FH and I are covering that. Thankfully we have all that money saved already,
I am expecting the RH to cost around $4k. We are covering that, as well.
My parents are covering my dress, invites and possibly favors
The only money we havent saved yet is the honeymoon, but we have more than a year

Our budget is 36K....I was able to make a budget plan with the help of theknot.com.....we are actually right on point with everything...we'll probably go over (considering our guest list jumped about 50 people) but I'm happy to say that things are running really smooth...with the help of not going out all the time and cutting my shopping down..
My parents are contributing about 12K though which means we are paying around 24K

I think it would be helpful if we also included how many guests we invited or expect to attend.
For ex: a wedding with 300 guests can easily cost $30K or more whereas a wedding w/ only 50 guests (like mine) could be less than $20K...

Makes sense. We were originally opting for 90-100, but it seems that it might be around 125.
