I need some ideas! What do you like? Light, dark, faux finishes? I saw a pic of a room where one wall was a light color and another was a dark color but I don't know if I could pull that off. I want to paint our bedroom a deep plum but my mother thinks I am nuts. I am just wondering what the rest of you have done.

Re: Let's Talk Color!
Right now I am on a kick of having accent walls. 3 walls are the same neutral color and then the 4th wall is a nice color that pops!

me too. I have Adams Gold (light yellowy beigy gold color) on 3 walls and Eucalyptis Green on another wall (sage color.)
In my den I have a white chair rail. Top of the room is Greenbrier Beige (a tan color) and the bottom is Hunting Coat Red (a deep brick red)

Re: Let's Talk Color!
thanks everyone. I have so much more work to do in that room - behind where I was standing to take the pics are the stairs to the 2nd floor -and I have another color there too - so I actually have three colors in the one room.
I don't remember the color names - but I have it at home somewhere - so I will let you know.
What I did do is pick an outdoor paint color and make it into indoor paint - I liked these colors the best. So when you go paint shopping - look at everything - even the outdoor paint!!

YOU know i LOVE your colors. from what i remember the tan is BM's litchfield grey and the red is an exterior color. i don't think you ever provided the 'red's' name.

I have come across some that are very similar- I dragged DH into Home Depot and took TONS of Behr chips. Lots of gorgeous colors! We are not in the house yet so we haven't purchased any paint yet.

i love the green...I am looking to paint my kitchen green.
Anyone else have any names of green colors they have used?

i have the BM exterior inspirations pamphlet and the color (red) shown w/ the litchfield grey is 'chestnut'. does that sound familiar?

Re: Let's Talk Color!
I like to put color on certain ceilings in our home. Nothing drastic though. For instace a muslin ceiling with satin finish and flat sandy waals. That is the combination in our guest room. The office has a muted green ceiling with satin finishalong with ironstone white walls and trim in the color of a neutral beige. The room works well.

Re: Let's Talk Color!
Tracy,
Go for the colors...worse comes to worst it's only paint and can be changed, but I think you'll like the colors.
We just redid the living room in our apartment, almost the same colors at Jan05bride and it looks really nice (although we didn't get our couches yet). I'll post some pics this week of the colors.
We bought a mauve color and grey for our bedroom. Will probably do one wall mauve and the others gray.
