For those who haven't booked yet, what are your top 3 choices?
I am trying to figure out if Aruba is right for us? So far the flight is only about 5-6 hours, and the cost of flight is reasonable. We have picked an amazing 5 star hotel too! Just not sure if it has any activities/nightlife, etc. Still researching...

Re: Let's talk Honeymoon!
Not booked yet, but LOVE Aruba! Gorgeous beaches, great food, and the night life has seemed to improve over the past few years. But it is quiet during the week, most of the night life I have seen has been on the weekends, but that was just for the local resort area I was staying in. What hotel are you looking to stay at?

Soon2beMrsHenry - We plan on staying at the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort in Oranjestad... have you heard of or been too?
I like the idea of the nightlife on the weekends and quiet in the week but are there activities or excursions during that quiet time?

We looked into Aruba and would have booked the Hyatt. We ended up not booking Aruba b/c we felt we could do that trip anytime. We ended up booking a cruise that stops all over Italy and some other fun places. This will be both of our first times to Europe.

That sounds amazing! We decided against Europe since our wedding is in March and Europe will be cold. We wanted to go somewhere warm.

My family and I stayed at the Divi resort for our first trip about 7 years ago, I think at the Dutch village. The past 2 times we stayed at the Playa Linda, which is a timeshare resort on Palm Beach. I think they were building the Golf and Beach resort when we stayed at the Divi.
There is definitely activities and excursions during the day. We always go snorkeling every trip. We take a catamaran out to 2 different sites, one is a sunken submarine the other is a coral reef, definitely recommend that! There are water sports too, but I think that depends on the resort. You can always go into Oranjestad for shopping/dining and I think they have more of a night life scene during the week than the resort area. The Palm beach resort area (Hyatt, Radisson, Westin, RIU) have a a lot of restaurants and they recently built a Senor Frogs and a few other night clubs in that area too.
And the weather is ALWAYS beautiful in Aruba. It rarely rains and there is always a beautiful ocean breeze!
Hope this helps! And feel free to ask me any other questions you have! ~Jenn

Re: Let's talk Honeymoon!
So go fo Aruba!
The issue FH and I had with the honeymoon is we asked to many people what they thought and for ideas and everyone has something to say. We changed are mind so many times B/c I let people get in my head. It is your honeymoon anything you do will be amazing.

My FH is set on Tahiti. So apparently there are no other choices. Although I'm not sure we can afford it..he wants to sell stocks so we can go! So ridiculous

Re: Let's talk Honeymoon!
I am researching a few things - Aruba, Turks and Caicos, and some USVI. FH really wants to start off in Key West for a few nights, but I dont know if that really will fit into the plans.
I love this part of planning but it's giving me the most grief!

Re: Let's talk Honeymoon!
We were really thinking Aruba and we still may end up booking it at the Hyatt but like someone else said I feel like Aruba could be an anniversary trip too and that it is probably going to be the one time that the both of us can take such a substantial time away from work that I feel like I want to do an amazing trip - something in an exotic island in Europe or even Cape Town in Africa... still researching....

Re: Let's talk Honeymoon!
Im thinking *Aruba * hawaii * a sandals resort in either antiqua, st lucia or bahamas.
Im so confused myself lol. Aruba i hear has everything you need for a hm or vacation. Some hotelz are all inclusive some not. But i also feel we can go there anytime. Hawaii is usually something u do once . Its a long flight and expensive but is such a honeymoon spot very beautiful. Sandals is geared toward honeymoons and weddings. Its adults only and all couples. The rooms are amazing and everything is included.
So im lost lol
