Let's Talk Registry Returns . . .

Specifically FORTUNOFF

If something is purchased and given to you from the registry and it is washed and unpackaged before hand to be set up (for example flatware in a storage box) and you decide you don't want it, can it still be exchanged for merchandise credit and something different if say, something new came out that you like better?

thats a tough one, you might have to call them and ask. Most stores only accept unopened returns

Re: Let's Talk Fortunoff . . .

This is there wording on their website:

Bridal purchases that are returned after 30 days and up to 90 days after the wedding date will be issued a merchandise credit.

Bridal items listed on the registry but not showing purchased can be returned for a merchandise credit if it is a current stock item and in its original condition and packaging

so wouldn't one interpret it that as long as it was listed on the registry and shown as purchased that it can be returned in any way shape or form?

I doubt if you took them out of the package and washed them, but if you can make it look new then maybe you have a chance...

No I read it that if its on your list but not showing purchased you can bring it back BUT the fine line in its ORIGINAL condition and PACKAGING, so no if its opened and you cant seem to get it back to how its packaged I dont think they will take it back, when I received flatware for engagement each piece had a piece of plastic on it and twisty tie this and that. Also it sounds like to me they are allowing you to get merchandise credits for duplicates only.
