letter for Catholic Brides...

I was told I need a lettter from my parish priest so that I can get married in another church. Does anyone know what this letter is called, so I can call my church.

I also had to get one. Its really simple, just call your local parish, make an appointment with the priest. Even though he didnt ask, we told him we wanted to get married at another church because it was where FH's family attends that church. They said no problem, and wrote us a letter on church stationary saying he gave us permission to marry at FH's church. As simple as that!!

It is called a letter of release to marry in another church. I had to get one from our parish so we could marry in another church.

Yes, it's called 'Freedom to Marry.' I need to get 3. One was that, Banns of Marriage, and a letter from any priest of my parish to letting me marry to another parish.
